Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our Stockport manufacturing site. You will work with the Maintenance Manager, EHS team, and external providers to coordinate daily facilities tasks and maintain compliance calendars.

The role is site-based with interaction across business functions and partners. You will arrange procurement, manage records, and assist with audits and improvements while ensuring work is completed

Qualifications

• Hands-on building maintenance experience at industrial site.
• Experience coordinating facilities maintenance and contractors.
• Knowledge of health, safety and statutory compliance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule day-to-day facilities maintenance across the site.
• Coordinate work orders from request to completion.
• Arrange and oversee subcontracted services, ensuring safe, to-spec work.
• Raise purchase orders and coordinate procurement of parts and services.
• Maintain site compliance calendar with inspections and certifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate contractor inductions, permits and site access.
• Maintain accurate facilities, compliance and contractor records.
• Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise facilities requirements and resolve site issues.
• Support audits and continuous improvement in facilities management and compliance.
• Ensure facilities are in good working order, including repairs.
• Update operation admin.

What You Will Do

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our manufacturing site in Stockport. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, EHS team and external service providers, you will coordinate day-to-day facilities activities, manage statutory compliance schedules, oversee contractors and ensure facilities-related work is completed to the required standards and operation admin. This is a site-based role with regular interaction across all business functions and external partners.

How You Will Do It

What We Are Looking For

Required

• Hands on experience in building maintenance. Level 2 or Level 3 certificates in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar.
• Experienceinfacilitiescoordination,maintenanceplanning,contractormanagementorasimilarrole.
• Strongorganisationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesanddeadlines.
• Knowledgeofhealth,safetyandstatutorycompliancerequirementswithinanindustrialormanufacturingenvironment.
