Job summary

Surrey Police is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join the Estates and Facilities Management division in Staines. You will support a professional FM service, primarily Soft FM, while coordinating contractors and ensuring safety and compliance across sites.

The role requires a full driving licence and willingness to pass a Police driving assessment, with opportunities to work on refurbishments and relocations. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with the ability to pass a Police driving assessment.
• Experience of undertaking minor repairs or working in a similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working within and contributing towards team goals with initiative.
• Knowledge of workplace health & safety and buildings legislation would be advantageous.
• FM experience preferred, IOSH Managing Safety preferred or progress toward it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, efficient and effective multi-disciplinary FM service supporting policing operations.
• Support our core business of operational policing through the Facilities team.
• Contribute to delivery of Soft FM services and manage contractors against SLAs and KPIs.
• Assist with larger projects (refurbishments, redevelopment, relocations) and office moves.
• Maintain driving capability and pass Police driving assessment for vehicle use.
• Balance workload and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards.
