Facilities Compliance Lead: PPM & M&E

Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking a Compliance Officer to join a facilities management team in Plymouth. The role focuses on statutory compliance across preventive maintenance, managing remedial works and maintaining records for mechanical and electrical building services.

You will work with the Facilities Contract Manager, engineers, subcontractors and the client to ensure maintenance activities are delivered on time and documentation meets contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or a similar compliance role.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance and PPM in commercial properties.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services and PPM requirements.
• Good IT skills for data handling, reporting and records management.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of costs and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PPM schedules to ensure statutory inspections and maintenance are completed on time.
• Review service sheets, certificates and maintenance docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date records on the CAFM system and track remedial works.
• Obtain quotations and manage client approvals for remedial works.
• Schedule, prioritise and monitor remedial works through to completion.
• Monitor the performance of engineers and subcontractors.
• Support the Facilities Contract Manager with performance, risks and reporting.
• Produce management information and contribute to client review meetings.
• Oversee financial administration including work-in-progress and monthly applications.
• Collaborate with helpdesk to ensure records and compliance information remain current.
