Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is opening a brand-new Lichfield Distribution Centre in early 2027 and is recruiting a Facilities Specialist to join our team. This role will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient site operations within a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will manage contractors, coordinate maintenance, and support mobilisation and stabilisation of the new site, contributing to a high-performing facilities function while upholding M&S standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Practical FM experience in logistics or similar, with good contractor management and compliance knowledge.
• IWFM (desirable)
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, able to manage suppliers and drive improvements.
• Adaptable to changing demands and circumstances.
• Excellent communication skills in a pressurised environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the site through facilities management, maintenance coordination, contractor management and workplace services.
• Manage contractors and service providers, monitoring KPIs and SLAs, controlling costs and identifying improvements.
• Supporting mobilisation and stabilisation, including asset handover, compliance documentation, maintenance arrangements and defect management.
