Job summary

Marks & Spencer is opening a brand-new Lichfield Distribution Centre in early 2027 and is recruiting permanent, full-time Shift Managers. There are day and night shifts on a 12-hour pattern within a two-week rotating schedule.

You will lead, inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve site targets safely while delivering for customers on time and in full. You will manage production plans, coach managers and build talent, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and proactive people

Qualifications

• Proven leadership, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
• Inspires others to achieve high standards of performance and behaviour.
• Data-driven decision-making and use of data to inform actions.
• Ability to adapt leadership style to different audiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and coach Team Managers and Warehouse Colleagues to deliver results within budget.
• Deliver the Shift Production Plan focusing on Volume, Efficiency and Rate.
• Conduct seamless handovers and review key information for oncoming Shift Managers.
• Identify and nurture talent through succession planning and upskilling.
• Lead continuous improvement and manage people issues with policy consistency.
