Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) seeks a Cleaning Supervisor to direct cleaning staff at a specified site and ensure EA standards are met. The role includes planning work, conducting inductions, and liaising with the building manager on daily issues.

You will supervise the team, maintain stock, monitor equipment, and implement procedure changes to improve efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of cleaning outside the home environment.
• Ability to use own initiative and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication in English.
• Good organisation and planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to work and to give instruction as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the work of cleaning staff.
• carry out induction and refresher training for staff.
• Liaise with the building manager on day-to-day issues.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action.
• Maintain stock of materials and equipment within budget.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet EA standards.
• Allocate and track keys for staff; ensure return daily.
