Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care Ltd is seeking a hands-on caretaker to maintain grounds and carry out basic maintenance across our Salisbury sites, including homes, schools and offices.

You will perform garden upkeep, minor repairs, painting and DIY tasks, while supporting health and safety checks, and coordinating contractors. The role requires a practical, reliable, independent approach and a willingness to travel by company van within about 20 miles of Salisbury. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Practical, organised and reliable caretaker with ability to work independently.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams and Office 365.
• Willing to travel between Salisbury sites by company van (within ~20 miles).

Responsibilities

• General garden maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and DIY tasks.
• Carry out routine site checks including fire, lighting and water safety.
• Liaise with contractors and ensure safe completion of work.
• Manage maintenance requests through Teams.
• Support site security, including locking/unlocking and alarm response when needed.
