Job summary

Little Reddings Primary School in Bushey, Hertfordshire, seeks a friendly Caretaker to maintain buildings and grounds, manage site security, and supervise cleaners. You will work 25 hours per week year-round, with some start/end-time flexibility.

Training will be provided and you will be supported by the BSJT Premises Manager. The role requires DIY skills, ability to use power tools, good literacy/numeracy, reliability, teamwork, and clear communication.

Qualifications

A proven record of general DIY skills and willingness to learn new ones.
The ability to use domestic power tools for appropriate repair and maintenance tasks
Good literacy and numeracy skills
A sense of humour and can work as part of a team
Reliability and flexibility as well as good communication skills

Responsibilities

Maintain buildings and grounds to meet health and safety requirements.
Carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks, including supervision of contract cleaners.
Ensure site security and safe operation of facilities.
Work with BSJT Premises Manager and participate in site-specific training.
Be part of a warm and supportive team at Little Reddings Primary School.
