Facilities Assistant x 4 – Guildford
Summary

You’ll assist in the delivery of our Christmas events and help create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits.

This role will predominately support our Snowdogs Discover trail which is an outdoor offer.

This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love.

We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to our Welcome Manager, you’ll work with a team of passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers at Hatchlands Park.

Hatchlands Park was built in the 1750s for naval hero Admiral Edward Boscawen and his wife Fanny, since then it has housed wealthy families, a finishing school for girls and even a printing press.

Today you can visit the parkland or stop for coffee in the Kitchen Caf all year round.

Also on display is the Cobbe Collection, Europe’s largest collection of keyboard instruments associated with famous composers including JC Bach, Chopin and Elgar.

An early interior design commission for architect Robert Adam, his work can be seen in ceilings and fireplaces throughout the house.

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Surrey Hills and surrounded by charming villages, this peaceful location is just 45 minutes from central London.

What you'll be doing

You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces as part of our Christmas trail.

You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order.

You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors.

You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of presentation and customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries.

You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
