National Trust at Attingham Park in Shropshire is seeking a Facilities Assistant to help keep the estate in good condition and running smoothly for visitors. Summary

We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join us at Attingham Park to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit. This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract Duration: Fixed term until 30th June 2027

Contract: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we?can't?guarantee a set number of hours each week.?While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs.?We'll?try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.?Your shift times will vary depending on operational needs, with typical shifts including 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm.

Provisional Interview Date: Friday 9th October

What you'll be doing

You'll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust's buildings and outdoor spaces. You'll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. form a core part of this role. You'll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
