Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Barnard Castle is seeking a Fabric Technician to support construction and refurbishment projects, manage subcontractors and health and safety paperwork, and undertake fabric maintenance across a busy manufacturing site. The role requires a C&G or NVQ in a fabric trade and previous Fabric Technician experience, along with strong customer service skills.

• Previous experience of working as a Fabric Technician.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction, refurbishment and minor building projects, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring health and safety documentation is completed and maintained.
• Carry out general fabric maintenance and repairs across the site, including walls, ceilings, tiling, flooring, plastering, painting and decorating works.
• Perform carpentry and building maintenance tasks such as door, furniture and lock repairs, as well as flooring installations and remedial works following planned maintenance activities.
• Undertake basic plumbing and maintain kitchens, bathrooms and communal areas to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Provide general building support services, including housekeeping duties and other reactive maintenance activities as required.

ROLE: Fabric Technician

HOURS: 37.5 hours a week

LOCATION: Barnard Castle

We're looking for a Fabric Technician who will support the delivery of varying construction and refurbishment projects, managing subcontractors and associated health and safety paperwork, whilst undertaking fabric maintenance and repairs across a busy and aged manufacturing site.
