Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to ensure PPMs and reactive works are delivered on steam systems within a maintenance scheme. The role includes training to become a mechanical nominated person for the site and reporting incidents, accidents and near misses at the earliest opportunity.

You will also coach and develop team members to reach their full potential while operating in a safety-conscious environment during a 38-hour week at Seascale, Cumbria.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• Must have demonstrable mechanical engineering/maintenance background gained within industrial, manufacturing, process, energy, utilities, nuclear, or similar mechanical environments.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Blue CSCS card.
• Good general knowledge of facilities services and operational practices.
• Sound understanding of nuclear site procedures and practices.

HOURS: 38 hrs/week

LOCATION: Seascale, Cumbria, CA20 1PG

SHIFT: 9 day fortnight. Week 1 Monday to Thursday 07:15 until 16:15 and week 2 Monday to Thursday 07:15 until 16:15 and Friday 07:15 until 15:15.
