Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Coventry is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support the delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, based at Clifford Bridge, Coventry.

You will produce estimates, carry out site surveys, manage small work packages, and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance and high quality. A building services or M&E engineering degree and at least two years’ experience are required; MS

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
• Able to prepare estimates and manage project budgets.

Role Responsibilities

• Support the design, specification, and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects.
• Produce project estimates, costings, and formal quotations in line with operational requirements.
• Carry out site surveys and provide technical recommendations while ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and manage small work packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support the development of trainees and technicians where required.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

• Qualification in a Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering discipline from a recognised college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Building Services, M&E projects, maintenance, or design-related roles.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and relevant industry regulations.
• Experience preparing estimates, quotations, and managing project budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
