Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Telemetry Engineer to join the Track Systems team in Biggin Hill. You will plan, deploy, commission, and operate the F1 Telemetry system to ensure reliable data between on-car systems and trackside infrastructure.

You will lead RF installations at Grand Prix circuits, provide technical direction for telemetry and on-car systems, and coordinate with FIA, broadcast, and IT teams to deliver high-performance telemetry solutions across events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in complex operational environments interfacing with electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of RF principles and high-performance site operations.
• Ability to travel internationally and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning of RF installations at Grand Prix circuits, ensuring reliable communication between on-car systems and trackside infrastructure.
• Provide engineering leadership for F1 Telemetry and On-Car systems, defining standards and driving improvements.
• Configure, maintain, and support broadcast and IT systems distributing onboard video multicasts and telemetry data to clients.
• Plan and deliver race event preparation activities and coordinate with relevant F1 departments.
• Maintain and optimise telemetry and on-car systems for high reliability and performance.
