Job summary

St Andrew's Church of England Primary School seeks an experienced EYFS practitioner to support young children to thrive. You will apply your Level 3 EYFS qualification and strong understanding of child development to provide high-quality learning through play, observation and planning for next steps, while safeguarding children and collaborating with staff and families.

You will contribute to a warm, inclusive school community with opportunities for professional development and a focus on child

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).
• Have recent and relevant experience working within an EYFS setting.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Have a good knowledge of how children learn through play and exploration.
• Understand the importance of high-quality adult-child interactions in developing children's language, communication and thinking skills.
• Be skilled in supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Be able to observe, assess and contribute to planning for children's next steps in learning.
• Have experience of supporting children with a range of needs and abilities.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also using initiative when required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
