Job summary

St Andrew’s Prep in Eastbourne is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our early years team. You will work under the Room Leader to provide nurturing care and engaging learning experiences for preschoolers.

We require a full Level 3 Early Years qualification and solid EYFS understanding, plus a caring, patient and proactive approach. Hours are offered as full- or part-time, year‑round with varied patterns.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a full Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification and have a sound understanding of the EYFS.
• We are seeking someone with a caring, patient and proactive approach when working with young children.
• Experience in early years settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Room Leader to deliver the highest possible standards of care and education for children.
• Work closely with and support the Room Leader to ensure quality learning experiences.
• Contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of children in our care.
