Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a warm and nurturing primary school in Burgess Hill to recruit a SEN Learning Support Assistant (EYFS) on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and build independence.

You will deliver 1:1 and small group support, assist with EHCP targets, support communication and social skills, and work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience working with children or SEND.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate via Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Two years of professional references.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Support delivery of personalised learning plans aligned to EHCP targets.
  • Assist with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction development.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs.

Role: SEN Learning Support Assistant (EYFS)
Location: Burgess Hill
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: Ongoing from September 2026
Daily Rate: £92.63 – £98.80

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a warm and nurturing primary school in Burgess Hill, who are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to support young learners with additional learning needs on a full-time basis. About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with ASC, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop communication skills, and build independence. You will play a vital role in creating a structured, supportive, and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Support the delivery of personalised learning plans in line with EHCP targets
