Job summary

Randstad Education in Horley is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to support children aged 0-5, acting as Key Person and delivering EYFS activities. The role emphasises safety, play-based learning, and strong collaboration with families and staff.

The position is full-time, on-site in Horley, with hours 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, five days a week. Applicants should have a Level 3 EY/Childcare qualification, EYFS experience, and a DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection guidelines.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play.
