Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a Horley setting. You will work with children aged 0-5, acting as a key person and delivering EYFS-aligned activities in a warm, safe environment.

The role requires a Level 3 Early Years qualification, EYFS experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and excellent communication with families and colleagues. A DBS check is required prior to starting and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and child protection procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their individual development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods and outdoor play.
