Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming team in Horley. You will work with children aged 0-5, taking a Key Person role to monitor development, plan EYFS activities and ensure safeguarding at all times.

The role requires a Full Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification and proven EYFS setting experience. You will collaborate with colleagues and parents to support a warm, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Full Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and child protection understanding.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• DBS check – enhanced (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children and track their progress.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and safeguarding.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines including meals, rest periods and outdoor play.
