Job summary

Randstad Education seeks a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join the Early Years team in Horley, Surrey. The role focuses on supporting children's learning, development, and safeguarding within an EYFS environment.

You will act as a Key Person, plan activities, and work with parents and colleagues to ensure a safe, stimulating setting for children aged 0-5. This is a full-time position, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection guidelines.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their individual development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play.
