Job summary

St William of York Catholic Primary School is seeking a Class Teacher with a TLR for EYFS and KS1 leadership. The role focuses on building an exceptional, nurturing environment for all children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will lead curriculum provision across EYFS and KS1, support colleagues with high-quality learning experiences, and collaborate with parents and external agencies to ensure inclusive practice and statutory requirements are met.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and demonstrates qualified teaching status.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and KS1 pedagogy and child development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and whole school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision, strategic development and day-to-day management of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and provision.
• Champion early years pedagogy and support colleagues in delivering high-quality, child-centred learning experiences.
• Identify and assess individual needs and ensure appropriate interventions and support are in place.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and external agencies to develop inclusive practice and ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Model excellent classroom practice and contribute to ongoing curriculum planning and development across EYFS and KS1.
