Albemarle Primary School invites applications for an additional leadership opportunity as KS1 Phase Leader. The role carries a TLR payment and a fortnightly half-day of leadership release, combining leadership, monitoring and coaching to support colleagues and drive school priorities.

The ideal candidate will be an effective, reflective KS1 practitioner with high expectations for every child, strong early reading and phonics, and the ability to adapt provision for SEND and EAL.

For candidates with the appropriate experience, there is the opportunityto take on responsibility as KS1 Phase Leader. This attracts a TLR payment anda fortnightly half-day of leadership release. The role combines leadership,monitoring and coaching: supporting colleagues, modelling strong practice,securing consistency across the phase and helping to drive whole-schoolpriorities.

• is an effective, reflective classroom practitioner with highexpectations for every child;
• understands the importance of strong early reading, phonics, writing andmathematical foundations in KS1;
• creates a calm, purposeful and inclusive classroom where positiverelationships and behaviour for learning flourish;
• uses assessment well to adapt teaching and secure progress from pupils’different starting points;
• is confident in adapting provision for pupils with SEND, EAL and otherbarriers to learning;
• works collaboratively, communicates well and contributes positively tothe wider life of the school;
• is committed to safeguarding, equality and the wellbeing of children.
