Job summary

Boots Opticians is hiring a Retail Assistant to be the first point of contact in-store, helping customers choose eyewear and services. You will participate in pre-screening activities for eye-tests and assist with dispensing, repairs, and aftercare, while maintaining store standards and customer focus.

You’ll be part of a learning culture through our Step Into Optics training programme, combining workshops with on‑the‑job experience to build product knowledge and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, dispensing and collection of glasses and contact lenses.
• Supporting with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Providing aftercare support through repairs and adjustments
• Completing operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions
• Maintaining shop floor standards
