Job summary

Boots Opticians in the United Kingdom is seeking a Retail Assistant to be the first and last point of contact for customers on the shop floor, helping them find the right eyewear and services. You will participate in pre-screening activities for eye-tests, assist with dispensing glasses and contact lenses, and help maintain store standards while delivering excellent customer care.

Full training through the Step Into Optics programme will develop your knowledge with workshop and on‑the‑job

Qualifications

• Passion for customer care.
• Desire to learn.
• Experience in retail or clinical environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, dispensing and collection of glasses and contact lenses.
• Supporting with eye-tests and pre-screening activities.
• Providing aftercare support through repairs and adjustments.
• Completing operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions.
• Maintaining shop floor standards.
