Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a Retail Assistant to join our store team. You will greet customers, listen to their needs and help them find the right eyewear solution, from pre-screening activities to aftercare support and handling dispensing tasks.

You’ll learn through our Step Into Optics training programme, combining workshops and on‑the‑job experience, with opportunities to develop within both clinical and retail pathways.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer care.
• Desire to learn.
• Worked in a retail or clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, dispensing and collection of glasses and contact lenses
• Supporting with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Providing aftercare support through repairs and adjustments
• Completing operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions
• Maintaining shop floor standards
