Job summary

Boots Opticians in the East Midlands is seeking a Retail Assistant to join our store team. You will be the first and last point of contact for customers, greeting them, listening to their needs and helping them find the right eyewear solution.

This role offers the industry-leading Step Into Optics training, combining workshop learning with practical on-the-job experience. You'll also support dispensing, pre-screening, eye-tests, and aftercare, while handling store administration.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and personable.
• Willingness to learn and develop optical knowledge.
• Experience in retail or clinical settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and understand their needs to recommend eyewear.
• Assist with dispensing glasses and contact lenses as part of in-store service.
• Support eye-tests and pre-screening activities.
• Provide aftercare and handle repairs and adjustments.
• Complete dispensing prescriptions and administrative tasks.
