Job summary

Leaders In Care Ltd is seeking an experienced Extra Care Scheme Manager to take full operational responsibility for a well-established scheme, leading a dedicated team to deliver safe, person-centred and high-quality care services.

You will recruit, coach and develop staff, drive quality improvements and ensure full regulatory compliance with CQC standards, governance and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading adult social care services such as Extra Care, domiciliary care, community care or supported living.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance and statutory framework for adult social care.
  • Experience managing operational performance, compliance, quality standards, budgets, audits and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop successful teams and create a positive culture.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Take full operational responsibility for a well-established Extra Care scheme, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred service delivery.
  • Recruit, lead, coach and develop a high-performing care team.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, audits and continuous service improvement to achieve excellent CQC outcomes.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, governance and company policies.
  • Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, occupancy, KPIs and operational performance to deliver outstanding results.
  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction while maintaining exceptional standards of care.
  • Support growth and continued success of the service through strong leadership.

The Role

As the Extra Care Scheme Manager, you will:

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Care Manager, Service Manager, Deputy Manager or similar leadership role within adult social care, Extra Care, domiciliary care, community care or Supported Living services.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance and the statutory framework relating to adult social care.
  • Experience managing operational performance, compliance, quality standards, budgets, audits and KPIs.
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop successful teams while creating a positive working culture.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for improving services, delivering outstanding person-centred care and achieving exceptional outcomes for service users.
