Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a proactive operations supervisor in Birmingham to coordinate workloads, mentor agents, and maintain KPI performance within a busy logistics team. You will monitor data entry, oversee invoicing and BNP reporting, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with Expeditors standards.

This role emphasizes collaboration with sales and the customer service team to strengthen client relationships in the UK.

Qualifications

• Four years of industry-specific knowledge.
• Proficient with warehouse management systems and MS Excel.
• Inventory management and accounting knowledge.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Allocate workloads within team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absence.
• Monitor workboards to ensure internal KPI's are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Assist in retention calls and document customer reviews in the CRM.
• Monitor invoicing and BNP report where needed.
• Proactively communicate with the team about policies and regulations.
• Mentor agents and lead agents to maintain positive team attitude.
• Promote productivity tools within the team.
• Be open to implementing system changes and enhancements.
• Oversee compliance with Expeditors Operational Process Standards.
• Audit new accounts and follow up on agents' responsibilities.
• Support manager and sales in introductory contacts and coordinating new accounts; perform department accounting functions.
• Aid employee development.
• Apply accounting knowledge to assist leadership.
• Monitor and improve District Excellence and Global Business Operations metrics.
• Assist leadership in growing the product's business via sales and retention programs.
