Job summary

Morson Edge in Filton seeks a Logistics Controller on a Temporary 12-month contract, 20 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday). You will coordinate international transport flows, manage shipping docs, and ensure customs compliance for non-flying parts.

Work with SAP to generate Delivery Notes and Customs Invoices; harmonise processes across SAP‑DN and Customs for non-flying parts while liaising with internal teams and DHL. The role demands proactive communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Logistics Coordination, Shipping, or Freight Forwarding role.
• Strong understanding of International Trade compliance, export regulations, and standard shipping documentation.
• Solid practical knowledge of Incoterms and their operational implications.
• Familiarity with Customs requirements: Tariff classifications / Commodity codes, COO, Commercial valuation.
• Basic awareness or understanding of Export Control and licensing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end flow of international and domestic shipments with approved suppliers (DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Express).
• Proactively optimize transport flows for speed, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve transit delays or bottlenecks.
• Prepare, review, and manage complete document wallets for international trade.
• Use SAP to generate Delivery Notes and Customs Invoices; harmonize the DN process for non-flying parts.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, focusing on DHL speed and account optimization.
