Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a Freight / Logistics Coordinator (Engineering) to join our Leeds team on a 6-month contract. You will coordinate global import/export shipments, work with carriers and freight forwarders, and manage documentation and compliance.

The role requires understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms, and experience with SAP ERP, with a focus on accuracy and efficient transport planning. Based in Leeds, the position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight coordination, transport planning or logistics.
• Knowledge of out-of-gauge, break bulk or oversized cargo handling (road, sea or multimodal).
• Understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms and international trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate global import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Work closely with specialist carriers, port operators and freight forwarders to support shipments.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including CDS entries, bills of lading, Certificates of Origin (CoO) and packing lists.
• Plan and book UK and international transport, optimising routes, loads and freight costs.
• Monitor shipment progress, maintain accurate records, and provide real-time updates to internal teams.
• Carry out day-to-day administration, including PO generation, data entry and email support.
