Aspire People is actively seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary settings in the UK. Candidates should have recent practical UK school experience within the last 2 years and a demonstrated ability to work with pupils with SEND.

The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group SEND support, helping pupils access learning, and contributing to positive behaviour and safeguarding practices. Opportunities exist for long-term roles and professional development.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group SEND support.
  • Support pupils to access classroom learning.
  • Assist with differentiated activities and interventions.
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs.
  • Help pupils with communication and social development.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Support transitions and classroom routines.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs.
  • Monitor and feedback on pupil progress.

Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary 1:1 & Small-Group Support | Aspire People

Aspire People are recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary school settings.

We are looking for candidates who have practical experience supporting children with SEND within a UK school during the last 2 years.

IMPORTANT: Candidates MUST have relevant practical UK school experience within the last 2 years.

The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group SEND support
  • Supporting pupils to access classroom learning
  • Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions
  • Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
  • Helping pupils with communication and social development
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Building positive relationships with pupils
  • Supporting transitions and classroom routines
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
  • Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Recent practical experience working in a UK school within the last 2 years
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
  • Calm, patient and consistent approach
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding
  • Able to adapt support to individual pupil needs
  • Reliable and professional
