Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with additional needs. This role is based in a UK primary school, requires safeguarding awareness and a calm, patient approach, and offers long-term opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have UK school-based SEND experience and familiarity with autism or non-verbal communication challenges, with strong communication and teamwork skills to work with the SENCO and classroom staff.

Qualifikationen

• Previous UK school-based experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Experience supporting children with autism is highly desirable.
• Experience with communication difficulties or non-verbal pupils would be advantageous.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Confident managing challenging or distressed behaviour.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to commit to a long-term placement.
