Job summary
Wilson & Scott Highways Ltd is seeking an experienced Road Marking Operative to safely install, remove and maintain road markings at our Thatcham depot.
You will need an NVQ Level 2 in Road Building – Pavement Marking (Manual Operations) or 2 years’ experience, a full UK driving licence, and be able to work independently or in a team. Willingness to work odd hours and travel away from home is required.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Road Building – Pavement Marking (Manual Operations) or 2 years experience required.
- Full, valid UK driving licence required.
- HGV licence desirable but not essential.
- Able to commute to depot in own transport.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours and away from home if needed.
Responsibilities
- Drive, operate and maintain paint/thermoplastic equipment for application on parking areas, Highways, and roadways.
- Measuring and marking out of project.
- Prepping and priming surfaces.
- Check performance of components and report unresolved issues.
- Operate and maintain hot thermoplastic equipment for marking and removal of marks.
- Drive line marking truck and apply thermoplastic material.
- Assist in vehicle operations and equipment handling.
- Assist in installation/removal of traffic control operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
