Job summary

NY Highways is recruiting for a road marking operative to join a small expert team in North Yorkshire. The role involves applying road markings using thermoplastic and paint systems, and operating specialist road marking vehicles across the county.

You will contribute to safety by setting up safe work zones, performing line removal and maintenance, and supporting winter maintenance and emergency responses as needed. A full driving licence and Category CE are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in road marking operations and using relevant plant and equipment.
• Knowledge of highways safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• A full driving and Category CE licence.
• Willingness to undertake required training (e.g. Manual Handling, Banksman, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid)

Responsibilities

• Applying road markings using thermoplastic and paint systems.
• Operating specialist road marking vehicles and equipment.
• Setting up safe work zones and traffic management.
• Carrying out line removal and maintenance works.
• Working across North Yorkshire on a variety of projects.
• Supporting winter maintenance and emergency response when needed
