Job summary

Marlborough Highways is seeking a dedicated Road Marking Supervisor to lead our road marking division on projects ranging from local roads to major highways. The role will be based in the Brentwood area with travel across London, Essex, and surrounding regions.

You will oversee daily operations for our road marking teams, ensuring safe, accurate installation of thermoplastic, MMA and other markings, and manage site activities while liaising with clients and stakeholders to uphold excellence,

Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience on road marking highways works.
Strong knowledge of road marking techniques, materials and standards.
Valid UK driving licence.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Road Marking or highways maintenance.
NHSS Sector 7 Road Marking tickets or willingness to obtain.
CSCS Gold Card or willingness to obtain.
12D/Chapter 8 Traffic Management certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise road marking gangs on site, allocate tasks and monitor progress.
Oversee safe application of thermoplastic and cold-applied markings.
Conduct site briefings and ensure health & safety compliance.
Liaise with clients, authorities, and project teams to coordinate works.
Manage materials, plant and equipment; ensure proper usage and maintenance.
Carry out quality checks, record keeping and reporting of daily progress.
Mentor operatives and trainees and promote a safety culture.
Assist with planning upcoming works and contribute to improvements.
