Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a temporary Mechanical Assembly Technician in Cambridge. The role includes the assembly and testing of mechanical and electrical components. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience in precision assembly and will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining test equipment. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 4 pm with competitive pay of £16.87 per hour.

• Ability to follow established procedures to ensure that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met.

• Assembly and sub-assembly of small mechanical/electrical sub modules.
• Trouble-shoot malfunctions and carry out modifications.
• Undertake testing to the vacuum specification.
• Responsible for the maintenance of test equipment.
