Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Operations for a major Integrated Facilities Management contract. You will report to the Account Director and steer strategic direction while ensuring exceptional service, performance and client outcomes across a complex portfolio.

You will lead senior operations teams, drive transformation, and champion continuous improvement and sustainability, balancing client needs with operational delivery and risk management

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within Integrated Facilities Management, Property Services or a similarly complex operational environment.
• Strong track record of managing large, multi-site operations and leading teams through growth, change and transformation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.

Responsibilities

• Owns operational performance across a complex, multi-service portfolio.
• Shapes the strategic direction of the contract while ensuring delivery excellence and strong commercial outcomes.
• Leads a team of operational leaders, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drives transformation, change initiatives and the use of technology and data to improve performance and client experience.
• Oversees governance, risk management, health and safety, compliance and business continuity across the contract.
