Job summary

Mitie Group plc. seeks an Account Director to lead workplace and facilities services at a high-profile Manchester site. The role oversees a large multi-service team, driving presentation, hygiene, compliance, sustainability and service excellence across the estate.

The on-site leadership will build strong client relationships, governance processes and a culture of continuous improvement to meet flagship-site expectations.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Facilities Management or Workplace Services.
• Experience leading large-scale cleaning operations and multi-service delivery.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement at senior levels and client governance.
• Strong budget management and commercial awareness.
• Experience managing large teams across disciplines in high-profile environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for workplace and facilities services.
• Lead day-to-day delivery of cleaning, waste, reception, and related services.
• Ensure services meet KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement and accountability across the estate.
• Develop trusted client relationships and lead governance meetings.
• Oversee health, safety, risk management and compliance.
• Manage site budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Coach and develop a diverse facilities workforce.
