Job summary

Derbyshire House in London seeks a Floor Supervisor – Events to manage and deliver outstanding guest experiences across our 11 rooms and rooftop terrace. You will lead the events team on a fast-paced floor, ensuring flawless service and coordination with other departments.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, excellent English communication, and a proactive, calm approach. Weekend support is required when needed to cover events.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in Events, Hospitality, Hotels or Conference & Banqueting.
• Highly organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong command of English.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.
• Confident leading and developing a team.
• Flexible and willing to support weekend events when required.
• Genuine desire to grow and develop within a forward-thinking company.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on and proactive, ensuring smooth running of events and high service standards.
• Lead, motivate, train and coach the events team.
• Lay up, set up rooms, service and manage event operations.
• Open/close event spaces and maintain areas to standard.
• Coordinate with Events Coordinator, Head of Events, Kitchen and other departments.
• Manage stock control and perform stock checks.
• Build strong guest relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Remain calm and organized under pressure with a solution focus.
• Handle operational reporting and cashing-up procedures where required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety.
