Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting for a Floor Manager to lead front-line teams and oversee events, from set-up to breakdown, across exhibitions, banquets and corporate functions. You will ensure service standards, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a busy campus environment.

The role emphasises team leadership, recruitment, training and close collaboration with clients to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Event Manager, Operations Manager or Floor Manager role delivering large-scale events.
• Strong leadership of front-line teams, casuals and agency staff.
• Commitment to service excellence and meeting KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead event operations from set-up to breakdown and manage labour, stock and opening/closing procedures.
• Deliver exceptional guest and client experiences with high service standards.
• Coach and develop team members, recruit and onboard staff.
• Monitor costs, waste and profitability; apply commercial awareness.
• Ensure health, safety, food safety and licensing compliance.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to support delivery.
