Job summary

St Pancras Hotel Services Ltd in London, King’s Cross, seeks a Floor Supervisor – Events to lead on-floor operations at Derbyshire House. You will drive set-ups, service delivery and guest experiences across the venue’s 11 rooms and rooftop terrace.

The role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring leadership, strong English communication and a flair for maintaining high standards, with flexibility for weekend events when required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in events or hospitality is not required.
• Strong leadership and team coaching capabilities are essential.
• Excellent English communication and guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth delivery of events and maintain highest service standards.
• Lead, train and coach the events team on floor operations.
• Manage room setups, stock checks and opening/closing of spaces.
• Coordinate with Events Coordinator, Head of Events, Kitchen and other departments.
• Maintain cleanliness, health & safety and reporting procedures.

We are looking for anenergetic, confident, and highly organised Floor Supervisor – Eventsto join our team at the beautifulDerbyshire House, one of the most versatile meeting and events venues in the area.. . Derbyshire house is very well known in the industry to be one the most versatile location for all types of events, corporate and private alike. The venue is made of 11 modern meeting rooms and a rooftop terrace, hosting a wide range of events; from large corporate meetings to the wedding reception and much more.. . Although this is predominantly a Monday to Friday role, the candidate needs to be however flexible and happy to work during the weekend, whenever required.. . This is a hands‑on operational role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced events environment, enjoys being on the floor, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.. .

The Floor Supervisor will be:.

• Hands‑on and proactive, ensuring the smooth running of events and the highest standards of service..
• A confident and natural leader, supporting, motivating, training and coaching the events team..
• Experienced inlaying up, room set‑ups, service and event operations..
• Responsible for opening and closing event spaces, ensuring all areas are maintained to the required standard..
• Comfortable coordinating with the Events Coordinator, Head of Events, Kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service..
• Experienced instock control and stock checks..
• Able to build strong relationships with guests and deliver exceptional customer service..
• Calm and organised under pressure, with a positive, hands‑on and problem‑solving attitude..
• Confident with operational reporting and cashing‑up procedures where required..
• Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, personal presentation and health & safety..

To be considered, you must:.

• Have previous experience in a similar supervisory role within Events, Hospitality, Hotels or Conference & Banqueting..
• Be highly organised, efficient and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment..
• Have excellent communication skills and a strong command of English..
• Be passionate about delivering exceptional events and guest experiences..
• Be confident leading and developing a team..
• Be flexible and willing to support weekend events when required..
• Have a genuine desire to grow and develop within a forward-thinking company..
