Role Overview

The Events Team delivers high‑impact events that advance the College’s mission. As a Conference & Events Officer you will plan and deliver a variety of small to medium‑sized events and conferences – both at our venues and across the UK – working with a collaborative team that values teamwork, attention to detail and exceptional customer service.

Person Specification
  • Respond to client enquiries from the Events Inbox or by phone in a timely, professional manner; gather relevant information, develop stakeholder relations and secure bookings where appropriate.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates for provisional bookings, maintain accurate records of space held, chase confirmations within agreed timescales, and release unconfirmed space to optimise estate utilisation.
  • Provide full administrative and logistical support to clients for small to medium events, ensuring high‑standard delivery; support more complex events as directed by senior staff. Use College systems and technology (e.g. LTM) in accordance with agreed standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in events management, administration or customer service.
  • Confidence in dealing with clients and managing diverse, demanding customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
