TEEM Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a reliable School Caretaker for a Handsworth-based part-time, temporary role (20 hours/week, 2:30 pm–6:30 pm, Monday–Friday).

The role covers security, maintenance, cleaning supervision and general site duties to keep the school premises safe and ready for pupils and staff. The ideal candidate will have caretaking or premises management experience, plus a valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one, with good health-and-safety awareness and strong

Competenze

• Experience in caretaking, premises management or similar; school experience is a plus.
• Current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and basic maintenance.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements and safeguarding duties.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise tasks.
• Calm, flexible, reliable and professional approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

• Secure and lock the school premises at the end of each day.
• Carry out general caretaking, routine maintenance and site safety checks.
• Identify and report repairs, defects and maintenance issues.
• Assist with heating systems and operation of site facilities.
• Supervise cleaning staff and contractors when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of buildings and grounds.
• Manage recycling, cleaning supplies and lost property.
• Undertake security and keyholder duties, including alarm responses.
• Assist visitors, contractors, parking arrangements and school events.
• Carry out post runs and other general duties as required.
