Job summary

Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy is seeking an Evening Cleaner to join the premises team. The role is 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week across 43 weeks per year, including terms and holidays.

The successful candidate will carry out cleaning tasks, maintain health and safety, handle COSHH compliant chemicals, and follow all academy policies to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff. You will work as part of a team and independently, with a focus on high hygiene standards

At Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy we are seeking a hardworking and reliable Evening Cleaner to join our dedicated premises team for 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week across 43 weeks per year (39 weeks term time including inset days and 20 days during school holidays)

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 15:30 - 18:30 Wednesday: 14:30 - 17:30

Role Purpose:

The Evening Cleaner helps to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out cleaning tasks throughout the Academy, including deep cleaning during holiday periods
• Maintaining health and safety standards and reporting any concerns
• Handling cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH requirements
• Following all Academy policies and procedures
