Job summary

Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an Evening Cleaner to join our premises team. The role is 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week, across 43 weeks per year (39 weeks term time plus inset days and 20 days during school holidays).

You will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff, carry out cleaning tasks, and ensure COSHH safety. The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable and able to work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks across the Academy, including deep cleaning during holiday periods
• Mainta in health and safety standards and report any concerns
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH requirements
• Follow all Academy policies and procedures
• Be a dedicated team player who can work independently as needed

At Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy we are seeking a hardworking and reliable Evening Cleaner to join our dedicated premises team for 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week across 43 weeks per year (39 weeks term time including inset days and 20 days during school holidays)

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 15:30 - 18:30 Wednesday: 14:30 - 17:30

Role Purpose:

The Evening Cleaner helps to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out cleaning tasks throughout the Academy, including deep cleaning during holiday periods
• Maintaining health and safety standards and reporting any concerns
• Handling cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH requirements
• Following all Academy policies and procedures
