Stonehaven (Healthcare) Ltd is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant for The Lilacs in Exeter. The role involves delivering compassionate care to residents, supporting care plans, and ensuring safety during night hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home, hospital, or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Good communication skills with a professional and respectful approach to colleagues and residents.
• Compassionate and patient by nature, with a genuine interest in improving residents' lives.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing individual care plans for each resident, including nutritional needs and moving and handling requirements.
• Help residents with dressing, undressing, bathing and toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and continence management, and use of aids and equipment.
• Care for residents who are temporarily sick or dying, and manage basic dressings.
• Make beds, tidy rooms, and manage laundry and light cleaning.
• Inspect laundry and coordinate repairs with the housekeeper.
• Promote mental and physical activities through conversation and activities.
• Be mindful of Food Hygiene and health and safety regulations.
