Job summary

Essex Cares is recruiting a Care Assistant to join a reablement service across South East England. You will help clients relearn daily living tasks, travel between visits by car, and work under a mentor to build confidence. Shifts include weekday evenings and weekend work, supporting customers to stay independently in their own homes.

No prior experience required; full training is provided and there are 30-hour contracts available. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Care Assistant post in the reablement service at Essex Cares, a provider of home care across South East England. The work helps customers regain daily living skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation so they can stay independent in their own homes. It is community-based, so the post-holder travels between clients by car, with weekday evening and weekend shifts and 30-hour contracts available. No prior experience is needed as full training is provided, but applicants needing visa sponsorship cannot apply directly.

What the job involves

• Help customers in reablement relearn everyday skills such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals
• Support customers to regain independence and continue living in their own homes
• Travel between customers' homes across Billericay and the surrounding area
• Work alongside a mentor who takes you to meet customers until you are confident in the role
• Work weekday evening shifts (3.00pm to 11.00pm) and weekend day or evening shifts
