Job summary

Essex Cares is seeking a reablement care assistant to help customers regain independence in their own homes. You will support personal care, mobility and meal preparation, traveling between client visits in Mid Essex using your own car.

The role requires a full driving licence and access to a car with business insurance, with induction training and mentoring provided. Shifts include early/late hours and weekends; visa sponsorship is not available.

Job description

A reablement care assistant post with Essex Cares, helping customers in their own homes regain skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation. No prior experience is needed, as full training is given and a mentor accompanies new starters until they are confident. The community-based role needs a car and full driving licence, with 16 to 36 hour contracts covering early and late shifts and every other weekend. Visa sponsorship is not available for direct applications.

What the job involves

• Travel between client visits across Mid Essex using own car
• Work assigned early and late shifts, including every other weekend
