Job summary

Essex Cares (ECL) seeks a community care assistant to join the reablement team. You will help customers regain skills for living at home, covering personal care, mobility and meal prep, with a mentor on-site during induction until you are confident.

The role involves travel between customers in South Essex using your own vehicle, with an early to late shift pattern and every other weekend. visa sponsorship is not available.

Job description

This is a community care assistant post in the reablement team at Essex Cares (ECL), helping customers regain skills and independence so they can keep living in their own homes. The work covers personal care, mobility and meal preparation, with a mentor accompanying the post-holder on visits until they feel confident. Travel between customers is part of the role, so a car, business insurance and a full driving licence are needed, and shifts run from early morning to late evening with every other weekend included. No prior experience is required, but applicants who need visa sponsorship cannot apply directly.
